Welcome to Scent by Diane, thankyou so much for checking out my website.
I first discovered Scentsy through a friend, I was on maternity leave and I found myself around her house A LOT complaining about how many sleepless nights I was having, so to be greeted by the most amazing & relaxing smells was a blessing.
Since having my own home I have loved nothing more than putting my feet up and relaxing on an evening & weekend, with a scented candle burning away to itself. Then I had my son and oh how that changed, that little luxury I had went out the window (along with the ability to brush my hair and drink a hot cup of tea). I would always worry that the smoke/soot from the candle would affect him, or I’d fall asleep from endless sleepless nights and leave the flame burning away to itself & cause a fire, not to mention the usual ‘new mammy fears’ because of course my weeks/month old baby will somehow get to the burning hot candle and injure himself ( I know there’s people that have had these thoughts also). So for 2 year I said goodbye to nice smelling luxuries!
I was invited to a friend’s Scentsy party and thought I’d go along for some ‘mammytime’ but If I’m honest I thought it was going to be ‘just another candle’ but I had no idea how brilliant it was. After listening to the consultant for a while I was amazed to find out that there was a safe alternative to my candle addiction and I instantly wanted to find out more about Scentsy. A few month later I decided to host a party myself, I was more interested in the host rewards and wanted free and half price scentsy for me. Early 2016 I moved house and as a house warming gift I received my very first Scentsy warmer, the flowervine warmer, I was hooked! Each month I’d get new fragrances and fall in love with them a little more, people would come in to my house and always comment on how amazing it smelt, I LOVED how safe it was around Oliver because when its lit up he gets intrigued and tries to touch it and I know I don’t need to worry because they are all child & pet friendly, bonus!
The more I enjoyed my warmer the more I wanted to become a consultant but I was always far too scared to take the plunge, all of my friends and family would urge me to because they knew how much I loved mine but still I didn’t dare. I’d just fallen in love with a wedding dress and knew I’d never afford it on my 9-5 wage because that money went on boring stuff like bills & grown up things. I needed to earn more money to get me this dress!! One night I was waiting like an excited child for my scentsy waxes to arrive, when my friend arrived we got chatting about all the different products that Scentsy had & I honestly had no idea! I thought it was warmers & wax bars but how wrong was I? There was so much more on offer and I was so excited to find out more. Seeing how excited I was and knowing I was interested in earning more money my friend decided to tell me about an offer that was on if you joined that month. When she left I thought to myself, I LOVE the products, I’m excited to find out more about the new products, I love explaining to people why my house smells so amazing and if I’m honest I could really do with the extra income now nursery fees are taking over and I wanted a wedding dress out of my price range. I hardly slept that night thinking about it and the next morning I joined up and I’ve never looked back. Scentsy has honestly changed my life in so many ways, the most being financially. Me and my family get to go places I never thought we’d go (or certainly for a long time), I've earned some amazing free incentives with scentsy, the most recent being and all-inclusive 7 day Mediterranean cruise with my husband and the rest of my scentsy family. Also in October 2017 I had my dream wedding WITH THE DRESS, a wedding I never thought was possible because everything I earned in my 9-5 job was for boring stuff like bills and grown up things. I haven't only gained financially but I have grown in confidence, found something I’m really good at and most importantly I've made some amazing friends for life. I have a fantastic team and in August 2017 I hit Director status, WOW. Never in a million years did I think I’d achieve that, after all I only joined to get free wax for my new warmer haha. I decided to name my team ‘League of our own’ because that’s what we are, every single consultant in my team are working their business at their own pace and I’m so proud of them, its an amazing feeling watching them achieve what I never thought was possible for me. In October 2018 I promoted to STAR Director with my team of over 250. I'm still shaking myself waiting to wake up.
My main concern about becoming a consultant was the obvious ‘but what if I don’t do well’, now I’m a consultant I know that Scentsy will always be popular for so many reasons. No smoke/soot, no flame to cause a potential fire, more cost effective than a candle, and best of all, safe for children and pets! What’s not to love? Scentsy really is amazing, I’ve now got so many different warmers around my home, with the most amazing fragrances filling each room. Most of my family & friends have converted from candles too (I’m working on the rest).
